A very nice representation of this temple. The tree foliage is in just the right place and adds interest to the scene and fills in that area of sky. I agree that the temple is leaning backward, but it might be worth trying to correct this. If you lose the the Buddha , or part of it, I don't think it would matter as it is the brightest part of the scene and draws the eye. If part was still showing, a bit of cloning would wipe him out and help get rid of the brightness. Good attempt,. but you are in the lucky position to get more good shots when you return at Christmas. |

I can certainly see why you were attracted to this barn with all its unusual features, and feel you were right to leave everything as it is. The interest for me is 'why are the crosses on the doors' Why are the two doors above, although the same shape and size, different in design. Very intriguing. I reckon when the barn fell into disrepair, perhaps the doors were replaced with anything that was available. Love the interesting shape of these old American barns and have always wondered why the roofs are the shape they are. I reckon there is a loft up there, and there is a reason for the shape. A lot of lost space I would have thought. Would love to know the reason for it. Love this image, and only crit would be I WOuld have liked more space around it. |

Wow, Arnold and his creative attempts at being a bit 'arty', and it has certainly paid off. Very cleverly executed. They stand out very well against the Black sky and the big cloud overhead adding protection from the sun is a bonus. Well done. Great idea. |

You've done it again Julie. Great image, great quality, and very interesting features. Your new camera has served you well in this instance. The topiary effect is indeed strange, but creates a huge interest wondering what on earth it is.The tree and sky are beautifully rendered, and this charming house sitting in the middle of it all sets it off. This could be a scene out of a fairy tale book. Very dreamy. Is Dorothy going to skip along this pathway leading towards the house. Just love this for good reason. |

I do think this is a lovely panoramic shot with a lot of interesting features in it. Love the bush on hilltop on left-handside and the little clump on the right-hand side like bookends, holding the image together. A slight improvement might be to crop to the edge of the lead-in fence on the right to improve composition. Only real crit is the very bright barn roof which tends to draw your eye, but this could easily be toned down. Nice one Stuart.

This is a lovely scene, with good tonal range and composition. The texture of the tree trunk and barns are superb. I think I agree that the foliage should be lightened slightly which would give the tree trunks more emphasise . I too thought that a crop should be made on the right to take away the right hand tree, but that would leave the branch stretching towards the centre, but with your skill that could be cloned out. I do like the gap area and the row of smaller trees there. It gives interest. Very nice. |
