Do like the perspective of the trees running as in a diagonal line from Left to right and diminishing in height as they run through the image space. You always seem to get great skies, and here the skudding clouds have come alive and are racing away in the distance chasing the treeline. Your cropping is just right taking a bit off the bottom but leaving in the grazing cows. |

What a super old rundown building, and here also the trees are starting to encroach. What a stroke of luck the small cloud is directly above the chimney making it appear that this hut is liveable in and there is a fire burning inside. It is a very gritty image and especially where is shows in the sky area, it has a look of reticulation which sometimes appeared in film. |

Aren't you the cleaver one for taking your camera, otherwise you would have missed this shot and the others you bagged. Lovely quality and an image with a lot to see as your eye moves around picking out things of interest. i.e. the small structure under the bridge, (another arched bridge?), the ripples and floating leaves in the water. The toning is nice. |

An interesting building Stuart with an interesting history.. It must have served a very small population when in use, and one wonders how a tutor could cope with pupils with varying ages, which I suppose is what must have happened. You have done a good job in removing the rubbish at either side. It would appear from the original that it was quite a sunny day and it appears a bright image. I just wonder if you could add a little brightness to the finished image to bring it more to life. |

As usual your quality is second to none and the story of the encroaching trees comes over very well. Looks an interesting barn. Will be sad when it is eventually taken over by these trees. The grasses in the foreground are lovely and soft and feathery and serves as a subtle base, and the sky in contrast gives a good dramatic type backdrop to the scene although I suspect that some of the Whites in the clouds, are perhaps blown a little. Toning these areas down might not draw attention to them so much but I notice that in your original they are quite bright and maybe you cannot. The white fall off in the corners is suitably apt and helps concentrate the attention to the trees and barn. |

What a pleasant subtle arty image. Like the way it is soft and delicate and have no problem with the composition. Only problem I feel is that the only very dark area draws my eye to the top. Have tried covering it with my thumb and think it could be done without (no problem for you Julie), but at the same time it doesn't totally spoilt the image, so I am torn. |
