The Brown of the Hut is down to Channel Swapping Sharon. Only thing I introduced Brown to was the bench. Not that top notch. A lot of my work is trial and error and experimenting. Sometimes it pays of other times it doesn't. |

You can do it Julie. You have a lot of experience, so I wouldn't even attempt to suggest anything, having read of the different things you did in processing, but it is too good an image not to try to improve it in some way, good though it is. |

Sharon, thank you for your explanation. I did not mean to be derogatory in any way. I find the colours you have produced quite beautiful, but not realistic in my sense which is why I came up with the word 'fantasy' I could actually see this scene as an illustration in a children's book. To answer your question , these colours are not typical in this part of England, although like Ireland there is always a lot of Green around, as Cumbria is the nearest point and any rain moving across Ireland usually ends up here. We are not though a 'sunny' part of the world and have just immersed from a long dull grey and dismal winter, which is typical. We are now into Spring and rejoice when the sun is out and the skies are Blue, and that is the time I usually rush out to take IR. But even during the Spring and Summer we are not guaranteed prolonged periods of sunshine, unless you are in the South of the country. Perhaps we need to take a holiday to warmer climes!! Hope this clarifies my original comments, and perhaps I should think a little more before commenting in future.

This certainly seems a beautiful venue with lots of possibilities for IR. It has taken some time for me to get 'my head' round the colours you have produced here, and can only say you have come up with a fantasy image. How you manage to get these colours I do not know. |

I like the way you have got the right positioning here taking the pathway into the vineyard sweeping off round the bend to the left. The foreground fence and posts are obviously there for a reason to keep people out, but I also feel it's a barrier to enjoying the imaging. It may not have been possible to walk up to this construction and taken the image from over the fence, but would have helped, in my eyes, if you could have. I see from your original that the sky certainly was featureless and commend you for adding a new sky with these interesting subtle streaks which has added interest. Well done. |

He he!! - naughty man running about in the altogether. You have certainly got an image here with humour as well as being well processed. The tree and foliage have come out really well and I like the fact that the overhanging branches are stretched out over the sculpture. I can't see anything here that I can complain of or needs improvement. |

What a treat this is to view. Brilliant composition with all the right components. The textured backdrop is ideal. Although this is a lovely delicate, high key-ish image I think you might be right in thinking it is flat-ish although I think it suits the subject, but maybe a bit of depth particularly in the wine would help. Altogether a lovely image Julie. |
