35 Feb 17 Comment How the addition of colour has transformed this scene wish you could have added the pagoda as well to give the path more purpose in life. The light shade of green in the trees gives a fine feeling of spring, have you changed it to an Autumn scene as well ? Feb 16th
35 Feb 17 Comment The scene and all the old buildings seem to be in pristine clean condition, are they now converted into flats and penthouses ? So good to see these monuments to the Industrial Revolution still standing.Your chosen viewpoint shows the size and majesty of the building and the still quietness of the canal now with the solitary canal boat to show it is still used, Leigh Preston would be proud of you.Agree about the bit of foliage.

35 Feb 17 Comment Another church in a super setting with the shadows of the tree forming an excellent foreground interest and lead into the building itself.I feel sure that the scene requires much bolder, strong, contrasty printing, as it stands it seems to be too weak which is not helped by the sepia tone. 35 Feb 17 Comment I can see why you were tempted to use the foreground fence but unfortunately it has the effect of leading the viewers eye out of the scene rather than towards the ruin.I would be thinking of removing the fence up to the line of stones and any other bits of it still left. This also has the effect of reducing the large area of grass, leaving the solitary gate as a reminder of how things were many years ago. Feb 16th
35 Feb 17 Comment I feel certain that I photographed this same rock pillar when I visited Monument Valley, but strangely I did not do any I/R in USA,it was all colour.Overall I find the whole scene rather flat and grey but then there isn`t a great deal of vegetation the make full use of the I/R effect. I also wonder if this is one occasion when the dark ares of sky is not required, the rock seems to gain more emphasis when it is cropped off . Feb 16th
35 Feb 17 Comment I did not know the meaning of " Nepomucene ", had to look it up.A smart, tidy church in a pleasing setting , it stands out so well against the blue sky but protected and framed by the trees and apt clouds. Use of these stones can be seen in the East Anglian area of England. Feb 16th
