Thanks for you comments. I like your version as well. This particular picture is magic - it does not seem to matter what colours, tones saturation you use, they work. So far I already have 4 versions - but I have to stop, as there are other things I want to work on. My journey into Abstracts has been a real challenge, however love the process, and the fact that they are really mostly for my own enjoyment as even my wife is getting tired of critiquing them! |

Thanks for your comments - these are bits of 3 flowers that were in an arrangement send to my wife. Near end-of-life of the flower in the vase, I'm allowed to use them for my pictures. The translucency is from my lightbox, and the petals in this flower were perfect for this effect. |

Thanks for your critique. I hate to tell you, but I don't really know the names of flowers - I do know geraniums and hostess - which are in my garden. |

WOW - love it. What a gorgeous scene and photograph. Love the misty feeling and the beautiful, mostly muted colours. Great water effect. I attempted to bring back a bit of detail in the blown out area - helped a bit. Also lightened the rocks a wee bit. Use a Dodge and Burn process taught by Blake Rudis that is very delicate and works well most of the time. Again, congrats. |

A very nice "Altered Reality" image - you used a deft touch with the Topaz filters - not too much, and not too little. The colours are great. The background would make another picture by itself - beautiful. It seems to me, that there is not just 1 star in this production, but several, fighting for attention from the viewer. Great for moving the eyes throughout the whole image. Did I way I really like this picture? |

This is one for the Wall - perfect in every way, but the eyes make it. Of course being a nit-picker, I would only suggest one thing - in the background, in the middle of his head, there is a thing that looks like an upended horn - suggest cloning it out. I much prefer this background vs. the 2nd image, as it shows a bit of the environment. A beauty! |

Great picture - yes he does look like a 'character'. nice and sharp, good skin tones and hair. I think some 'experts' would suggest that the reflection in the eyeglasses is a bit distracting, but I actually think it helps in attracting the eyes to the face instantly. My only suggestion - Dodging the 3 light areas in front of the face, and Burning the hat a bit so it's separated from the black background. Overall a great image. |

Very nice nature study - well caught and photographed. Reasonably sharp and well exposed, and an effective composition. The added saturation worked well, however for me no added light was needed - prefer the light on the deer and the surroundings in the original. Well done.

Great nature shot - exposure is very well done and it's nice and sharp and the colours are very effective. I do have a couple of suggestions - if it were my picture (wish it was!) I would be tempted to crop off about 10% off the bottom, to make the Heron stand out even more, and also darken a small patch on the left margin, head height, as it could tend to draw the eyes away from the bird. |

MirrorLab is a filter, unfortunately for Android only. Really interesting results - from low abstraction to high. The colours and tones are from gradient maps and blending modes. |

You've build a beautiful story, and the composite is extraordinarily well done. Bravo!
I only have one very minor suggestion - for me the Rabbit and the "N" on the compass are superfluous and do not add to the story. Love the overall feel of this picture. Certainly wall-worthy!!! |

One of the most attractive Aurora pictures I've seen for some time. Colours, shapes, textures and forest location are superb. I'm very happy that this image brings back so many happy memories for you.
For most viewers ( I suspect) with no connection to the back-story, the composite does not work all that well. The Igloo Hotel, for me, has little connection to the Aurora, and actually takes my eye and attention away from it. At the end-of-the day this is of no importance, as it is your picture and memories. |

WOW - what a great composite - really well executed. Like everything about it. Well thought-out and processed. Like the antique cast of the whole picture, including Annie. Would not change a thing. Congrats. |

A very thought-provoking image - lots to see and enjoy. Technically first class - sharpness, exposure, and colours. I especially like how everything fits together.
As Creative is often such a personal experience and expression, I would not suggest any changes. But when I look at the image, another one slightly different pops into my mind. A version that would place the Beach Balls in a more relative position with the beautiful background. Not overlapping, but each in the location that relates to the overall scene - i.e.the wave ball a bit closer to the edge and bottom, the stone ball closer to the right edge, and the third ball on the right a bit further back and right. Can also play with the sizes a bit, if required. Anyway, not to take anything away from your picture, this might be an interesting version. |

Thank you Joseph. Tried your suggestion immediately, and love it!
BTW - how can I take a peek at your groups work (and others) - have looked but can't find the instructions |
