29 Dec 21 Reply 50% + for an abstract/altered reality rocks! Keep it up. Dec 16th
29 Dec 21 Comment Thanks for your feedback. No, I did not think of showing the rocks by themselves - I prefer to show the environment that they find themselves in. The clouds, hills, and sunlight coming in from the left were "supporting actors" for me. The off-white centre was created by the setting sun, and of course lightened by the long 93 sec exposure. 29 Dec 21 Reply Hi Bob - Actually don't have an issue with the ferns either way, but did like what Expressionism did with them - but no big deal. I hope you don't mind, but I had a crack at your original image to make the needles/ leaves pop a bit more and also deemphasize the light on the left fender and hood - used the Burn tool, and the Topaz Clear Day filter at 65%. Not a drastic change from your original, but also not as dramatic as the Altered Reality picture that you produced. Dec 15th
29 Dec 21 Comment A very interesting artistic treatment of an image that can easily stand alone as is. Once you enter the realm of Altered Reality, I bow down to the maker in terms of whether this picture is impactful or not. I love the foreground with the ferns and the grille - the rest, unfortunately does not "speak" to me. The debris on the hood in the original is very attractive to me - colours/shapes/texture. Although the same could be said for the Altered Reality version, the Expressionism filter that works so well on the ferns, for me does not do justice to the needles and other stuff on the hood.

29 Dec 21 Comment A stairway to an abstract spider - WOW. Lines, shapes, colours, and space are all there to give our eyes a feast. The shadow on the left is a wee bit of a distraction, but not a big deal. I would not change a thing, as this is a winner. Would it be possible to see the original stairway? The reason I ask, is that I'm also dabbling in Abstracts - so far I'm most comfortable with an image that retains some sense of reality - like your almost identifiable bits of the stairway. Dec 10th
29 Dec 21 Comment So much to see and enjoy. Certainly grabbed my attention and communicated the message of an early morning activity. I like the composition quite a bit, with the exception of the foreground - can't get a handle on it, and my eyes keep going back to it. I assume it's a wall, but not sure - probably just me finding it a bit of a distraction. You did well in handling the complicated lighting situation. The sunrise sky is certainly very attractive, and has avoided the trend of showing exaggerated colours and tones - this is very natural, and creates a certain mood. Dec 10th
