Hi Karen - The focal point for me were the 2 bridges and the reflections. Actually there is no barn in the picture, and I think you're referring to a tree (middle, back?) |

Thanks Stephan - I certainly overdid the green. |

Stephan - like what you did with the moose and the twig 'clean-up'. However I find the background and foreground much too contrasty - my take. |

Welcome to our group Ron - looking forward to seeing your pictures.
Love the overall feel of this image - moody and thought provoking. As it's a documentary image, it does represent the reality of the subject. Unfortunately for me, the composition is a bit skewed, and the centre of the point interest is on the right hand side only, with nothing much happening on the left side. Also, the pier in the background is mostly obscured by the pier in front. It might not have been physically possible to shoot this from a bit further to the right, but that might be an option.

What a beautiful scenic, photographed during a dramatic time of day. Challenging lighting conditions, really well handled. Like the contrasting warm and cold colours. Composition is very pleasing to the eye. The picture is nice and sharp. If it were my picture (wish it was), the only change I would make, would be to crop off a bit of the foreground and a titch off the top to make it a bit more panoramic. |

A very nice nature story shot - the composition is quite effective, it's sharp and the exposure is 'spot-on'. If allowed, the only thing I would do if it were my image - remove some to twigs/branches. Nice capture |

I like this landscape picture quite a lot. For me it celebrates the beauty of this particular area. It's the feast for my eyes as they travel around and through this image. So much to see and enjoy. I sense a titch of softness in the picture, not tack-sharp, but I think it works well with the scene. I do agree with Bob re: flipping.
My only other suggestion (minor) to slightly darken 3 or 4 areas in the foreground that draw the eye. |

A great nighttime scene - lots to see and enjoy. The composition is strong, with the lead in to the left side of the bridge (for me that's the focal point). Like the white cloud in the background, giving the image additional depth. The colours are nicely handled, although the sudden change in lighting on the left side looks a bit odd. Technically well shot - sharp and well exposed. As a personal preference, I would prefer the image flipped horizontally, to have my eyes following the leading line from left to right.

This is a 'keeper' for sure. Love everything about this picture - certainly has high impact on me (entertaining and strong message). The composition could not be better if this was posed - which it was not. Great catch for the expressions on the 2 faces. Great tonal range shown in this B&W rendition - almost impossible to duplicate in colour. |
