A nice, story telling image featuring birds and their behaviour. Although the image is reasonably sharp, there is too much noise for my liking. (High ISO?). I've also found from experience, accurately capturing the colour yellow is almost as difficult as white (I know 'white' is the absence of colour, but I still think of it as a colour when I take pictures of white flowers). Like white, yellow often seems to 'bleed' a bit into surrounding areas and seems to fight us in getting some detail/texture into it. As far as noise is concerned, I'm quite impressed with the Topaz noise elimination plug-in.

I really like this image a lot - it gives me so much to see and explore. It's also about colour contrasts and light/shadow contrasts. Although a bit "busy" from a composition point of view, it's not really relevant to me as my eyes are busy exploring. |

Absolutely nothing wrong with this picture, including the sharpness of the eye. Love the posture of the bird, and of course it's sharp and nicely exposed. Well done.

I like the composition quite a lot - layers of sand, water, sky and clouds, and of course the moon. The reflection in the water makes this image for me - very dramatic. I think I would prefer to see the moon without the rays showing (looks too much like the sun). Don't know if this is possible - maybe open up the lens more, and increase the shutter speed? Have little or no experience with these types of shots. |

Very nicely done - nice and sharp, and good exposure. The background is nicely muted, although it appears to have some noise. I also like the somewhat unique posture of this bird in flight. |

A very challenging subject. From my experience, a lot of 'trial and error' involved. You certainly captured this Owl in a great position - especially with mouse being carried. Although some of the bird is sharp, overall it could be a bit sharper. My way of shooting this kind of scene - 1/2500, ISO2000, f8, continuous auto-focus, 10 frames per second. And for some reason, I prefer the bird flying from left to right, so i would flip this photo. |
