I like this image quite a lot - I've not yet done water droplets pictures, although I do quite a bit of Close-Up/Macro work. The leaf and the droplets are exceptional sharp. I assume this picture took a lot of set-up work, and the results are certainly worth it. Is it possible to get just a bit more detail in the background flower?

A beautiful scenic image - love the composition and the colours, textures, and sharpness throughout. I only have one suggestion - would prefer to see a couple of poppies in the foreground a bit closer up. Well done.

I've heard of the Luminar feature of sky replacement. I just bought (trial) Aurora HDR, and was thinking about buying the package that includes Luminar, but am not ready for another major learning curve - but keeping it in mind. Of the tree images, I like the one you've chosen - however, I would prefer a sky that is not quite so dramatic, as for me it takes a bit away from the main feature, which is the bird. The bird (in my club we call these pictures "Bird-On-A-Stick" pictures) is nicely photographed - nice and sharp and well exposed. As far as using sky replacement or texture images straight from plug-ins, I'm still not totally comfortable from an artistic perspective - the same goes for staged pictures, often with a pros assistance. They can be classified under "tools", but 'real' artists - i.e. painters don't have that opportunity. I do use some of these "tools", but sparingly, and am always a bit uncomfortable when I do. It's a complicated topic, and a very personal one. I would not use a software "Sky Replacement", but I shoot my own sky and textures and use them in other images.

An interesting image - focusing on the shapes, contrasts, and patterns. I also appreciate it for giving my eyes lots to see and imagine. There seems to lots of noise or other artifacts in the white sky - which adds to the mystery for me. |

I really like this environmental, documentary image - it does tell us a bit about the local terrain. I also like it converted to B&W, but wonder if the colour version (although there appears to be not much colour in the scene) would give us some additional information as to the terrain and the inhabitants. The picture is sharp and the exposure is well done.

What a "WOW" picture - love the silky-look waterfall, the colours overall, and the composition with the person. The exposure, in a difficult lighting condition is also 'spot-on'. Not sure what the large band of out-of-focus water on the right is, but for my eyes, I think I would be tempted to crop out about 1/2 of it. |
