37 May 18 Reply Howard - I think it was a combination of the 2 - about 5 or 6 posts cut off at 10ft were situated in about a 2 acre area - the tops were flat and feed (chicken) was distributed on each post. Handlers would bring a bird out, release it, and it would fly to each post to feed. The birds all seemed to have different routes. Some even flew to the neighbouring forest, until they realized that food was easier to find on the stumps! On this day there were 14 photographers - so lots of room to situate ourselves - and we shot for about 4 hours. May 26th
37 May 18 Comment A nice nature shot - looks like it was taken with a setting-sun, which I find often mutes the colours a bit. Also the main subject matter (sea-grasses) tend to be not so contrasty. I suggest the 'washed-out' projection is due to those factors. I often still miss the point, that images projected tend exaggerate what we see on our monitors. Consequently I have my monitor cranked up as bright as it will go when I'm working on pictures for projection.

37 May 18 Comment What a beautiful, misty, moody image. Also really like the panoramic layout. The birch trees provide a great contrast to the darker areas. Just a nit - there are some small white areas in middle-left of the image, that are just a bit distracting for me. May 12th
37 May 18 Comment A beautiful scenic - the composition is just perfect. Love the layer of mist in the middle ground. For my taste, I'd prefer the left side of the image a bit lighter and would prefer that there was no cloud hiding the top of the lit-up peak. As for the grizzly - he/she was probably a Canon-shooter! 37 May 18 Comment I like this picture a lot - especially for it's story-telling feature. You were obviously dealing with a very difficult lighting situation (highlights and dark shadows), but there is still a lot to see and appreciate. I attempted to lighten the shadows a bit with NIK Viveza, and it helps, but is not perfect. May 12th
37 May 18 Comment Love the colours, tones, and the architectural details (i.e. rivets). However for my taste I find that there is just too much going on in this composition. The dark shadows and the dark, upper left hand corner are a major distraction for me. May 12th
