A very nice documentary image - really like the B&W treatment, and has a nice tonal quality to it. It's nice and sharp and the exposure is perfect. I like how the whitish hatband frames the child's face. Also a nicely muted background to make the picture 'pop'. |

Your club needs better judges!! Your image defines "Creative" - everything from the concept to the execution.Love everything about it - a feast for the eye. But to be fair to the judges - if they had little time to peruse this image, it might not score high - it needs some time to explore it. "Time" is often an issue with many judging sessions that I've observed. Well done. |

Many happy memories of the Palmer House from the early 1980's. Anyway, this is certainly one of my favourites of the many stairway pictures I have seen. I would not change a thing. Love the monochrome treatment, the composition, and all the other technical aspects of this image. It would be a shame, if this was not on a wall somewhere, for people to enjoy. |

A very nice shot of the mountain goat - nice and sharp, well lit and posed. For my taste, I would prefer to see more of the terrain to complete the nature story of mountain goats. |

I see 2 pictures in one - a reflection image and a pond/plant study image. I like the colours quite a lot and the exposure is well done - not easy in these lighting conditions. For my taste, I would prefer to see more of the reflection, even some part of the mountain itself - it would provide more of a centre-of-interest. Not sure if this was doable, considering the shooting location.

A very nice documentary image - like the B&W treatment quite a lot. It is nice and sharp and the exposure is very appropriate. Would prefer that the horizon line not be there, but one can't always get all the features where one choses. You captured the dust swirls very well. |
