37 Aug 17 Comment The sky is the picture (for me). The cloud formations, the colours, and the composition. Real nice job in capturing this image. For me, I'd be awfully tempted to use a very looooong exposure setting ( 1 minute or so - with a darkening filter), and create an 'unreal' image of water like glass, and even a more distorted cloud formations. But you did say it was cold!!!! Aug 11th
37 Aug 17 Comment This is an eye-catching image that needs to be on a wall (or many walls!) I really like the panorama treatment. Really like the silhouetted fence posts as well. Suspect I might have an issue with my monitor - in any case, for my taste, the red/orange sky is a bit over-saturated. For me, the sunset colours play a supporting role to the composition (fence posts, etc)

37 Aug 17 Comment A very nice nature story. The picture is well exposed and the composition is also pleasing. The brown triangle at the bottom left could be darkened a bit. Unfortunately the image is not very sharp - but having said that, it does not take away from the powerful story. Also, there is considerable 'noise' in the image (High ISO) and I've had lots of success in using "Define", a free NIK plug in.

37 Aug 17 Comment I think you achieved your goal very well - the dark horizon (including the reflection), grab your attention right away. This in turn, makes one explore the rest of the image. Although a bit of the sky is blown-out, I don't think this detracts from the overall image - actually in some way, offsets the very dark background. Certainly a different view of Lake Louise! 37 Aug 17 Comment A terrific scenic image. Love the composition, as it leads the eyes through the picture. So much to see and enjoy. Like the 'moody' feel - thanks to your exposure settings. The picture is quite sharp, and the colours are nice an muted. Although you used a low ISO setting, my monitor seems to show some noise in the sky - although we don't get to experience many monsoons here in Niagara-On-The- Lake, Canada! Aug 11th
