A very nice image - like the composition and the textures. The pieces of moss on the log bring a nice splash of colour. My eyes support your decision to 'break the rule' of always balancing an image with odd numbers. Other than the little beige stick in front, I do have a problem with the excessive noise in the background (suspect high ISO?)

Another beautiful scenic. Great composition and exposure and sharpness. The leading lines work extremely well in this shot. So much to see , but as I view it, I wish I could see more of this scene - it feels a little cramped.

What gorgeous colours in the bird, and you captured them very well. It's very sharp so that the details in the feathers show. The bird appears to be posing for you. Would prefer a bit more room at the top, to avoid the constrained feeling. |

Another beautiful CANADIAN scenic (forgive the capitals!!). Beautiful composition and it's very nice and sharp. I would suggest a couple of small changes - although the horizon is very likely straight, the reflection line in the water appears to tilt the image to the left a bit, so I would be tempted to 'straighten' it. Would also darken the rock - front and left, behind the cow - as it does draw the eye. Beautiful shot.

This image does tell a nice story - which was your intent. Like the reflections of the people in the boat. Would prefer to see a bit more space in front of the boat, to suggest movement forward. For my taste, I would crop out the colours on the top - as they take my eyes away from the primary subject matter. Nice image, nonetheless

Very nice nature study. Nice and sharp, and the bird is caught in the act of landing. However I must admit that I prefer your original shot, as it tells more of a story with the 2nd bird (baby?). I also think there is plenty of room in front of the bird, and the extra foliage also improves the composition of the overall image.
Both images are 1st rate. |
