Thanks, Howard. I can't see much of a change in your attachment - am I missing something? |

Subhash - thanks for your comments - I agree, the highlights could be toned down a touch, as long as a good contrast remains with the other colours. |

I appreciate your feedback - my intent was to create an 'in-your-face' kind of a shot, which is quite the opposite of how we ordinarily see tulips. For me, "ordinary" images, even technically perfect, most often do not grab me. But thank goodness, there is vanilla and chocolate ice cream!!!!

A very nice nature picture and story. The image is quite sharp - which is a real challenge with this little bird. The overall exposure is also very effective. Unless you're planning to enter this image in a Nature competition, I would be tempted to paint in a catch-light. |

Love it!!! The simplicity of the subject, and the opportunity for the eyes to travel through and around the "chairs", make this a memorable image. The post-processing spotlight effect was an excellent idea. The placement of the chair also maximized the shadow effect.

Very good capture - nice and sharp and really like the moment of capture, to show the wingspread. Like Henry, I also think the natural colours are very effective. I don't have a problem with the 'centre-of-frame' location of the seagull, but would like see just a bit more room around the bird.

What a great way to remember your experience. Obviously, without a tripod, this scene represents some major challenges. Can you explain the coloured areas in the water? Would like to have seen just a wee bit of detail in the mountains, but appreciate this very difficult shooting scenario.

Fabulous image - love everything about it. If possible, would you provide me with a bit more information - Why this location? What time of day - i.e. before/after sunset or sunrise? Lens used, aperture, ISO, exposure? Major post-processing challenges?
Thanks in advance
