Beautiful scenic - especially love the background mountain range and sky. Appreciate your decision to make the water 'misty' and soft. I would be tempted to square the format, by eliminating some of the right-front rock formation that tends to pull my eyes from the rest of the scene. I also see another "picture within a picture"- crop out the bottom 1/2 of the image, and you're left with a dramatic panorama -leaving what I love most about this scene.

Very nice street scene. Really like the details in the architecture - lots to see. The Silver EFX treatment works very well for this scene.
Curious - why the high ISO?

Love how you captured the mountain ranges, especially showing the one peak highlighted by the sun. The sky also adds a lot to the overall image, as the shape of the cloud mimics the terrain of the mountain range. So much to see and enjoy. Unfortunately the bush in the foreground is a bit distracting to me - too dominating - my opinion. I would also be tempted to increase the contrast just a little, and darken the scene, to add more emphasis on the sun-lit peak. |

Beautiful capture of the Poppy - great colours and reasonably sharp. Really like the tones of yellow and red flowing into each other. For my taste, I would prefer a more contrasty background to make the Poppy 'pop' even more - something along bluish/greenish colours. But for those that like a less jarring look, and more of a harmonious feeling, your background is perfect. |
