I remember Grey Dunn has made an illustration of the cortical neurons as shown in attached figure (http://www.gregadunn.com/). It is a reminiscent of Don's work! For people working in the lab and studying the brain, the complicated images of the cells and neurons, fibers of the brain are all mysterious and stunning beautiful! Greg Dunn is a neuroscientist and turned artist and introduces the beauty of the brain to people outside this field. Even most of us do not understand the Brain; we can still get inspiration and appreciation of the science-inspired art. |

It is a beautiful image. I like the very sharp subject and the smoothed background. The circle light on the tip of the foot, to me, is not realistic on the floor ground. But it provides a very focused view and complement to the curved body! |

The great image to show the light, color and shadow. Just feel the image is not very sharp and in focus. |

originally I thought of a ocean viewed image from the coast. Then I realized that is a completely different scenario. The sky is plain without any cloud. I would suggest to replace the sky to that of image 2. The cloud, the rays, colors are all very rich in filling the sky. |

A magnificent view and a remarkable image! My focus is really lay on the mountain wall. I found a faint dark spot on the right upper part in the sky. It often happened in me image. It may be caused by a dust on the lens. |

It strike me at the first glance. It looks like dendritic trees of pyramidal neurons that ascended from the deep cortical layers to the more superficial layers. It is very simple and beautiful! ( I am a brain scientist!) |

It is amazed that the speeding horses are caught in a very sharp and focused image. I thought that it may be even better if there is moving blurred background. |

Chalie, thanks for your comments! Yes, it is also my concern in the beginning when I stand on the bridge. Fortunately, the pedestrian pathway along the bridge is very sturdy and robust. There were no vibration when the cars passing by. It only occasionally trembled when a heavy big truck pass. I did have to discard that image. |

David, thanks for your comments ad questions. I used B-mode to capture the fireworks. Thus the speed is varied from1~5 sec. in each shot. I examined the series of the images and selected just two of them and composed together. I stood on the bridge and it was a long distance shot. I have to crop the peripherals to eliminate the distraction. |
