I really like the way the color fades from the rich deep blue in the upper left diagonally down to the lower right, and the lights in the windows follow the same pattern (in reverse). It gives me the impression that dusk is falling across the building as time is passing. Thus it seems logical that more lights in the windows would be on in the dark side and fewer would be on in the lighter side. For me, the crop presents as an art piece rather than just a photo of a building. |

What I see in this quadtych is a progression from utter chaos (UL), to some evidence of assembling (UR), to a semblance of order (LL), to the radiating lines (LR)--are they coalescing to a point in the center or radiating from the center out? For me the whole thing could be a visual representation of the big bang (order coming out of chaos). Because I see it that way, I think the rectangles add to the feeling of a progression, whereas the square presentation would seem more static. The colors are so pure and sharp that they enhance the effect for me. |

I also like the uncropped presentation better. It give a sort of closure to the line of trees, giving the impression of a corner at the end of a rectangular pond. Beautiful colors and resolution. |

The most striking thing for me is the richness of the various shades of green and the sharpness in the center of the image. For me, it seems something has blurred the corners to the point they appear out of focus (perhaps an unintended consequence of a vignette) |

I agree with all the other comments. I'm glad you chose a frame - it gives the impression of a framed family photograph that could be placed on the mantel or hung on the wall. |
