I think you really captured the grandeur of the Grand Canyon. I especially like the curve of the river leading up into the canyon. And the fact that there are two very tiny boats, enhances the feeling of the enormity of the place. |

What a beautiful capture of the heron! I tended to agree with Andrew about the bright spots, so I tinkered with it to see what the effect would be. Here's what I came up with. |

I like the color and composition as well, but this photo is so much about process that I find the artist's face almost another subject in the photo and my attention is divided and taken away from the art work. We are not really interested in who the artist is, so I cropped a bit more from the top, leaving enough of the artist to indicate the making of the piece. I find the inclusion of the paint cans and trays, and the bucket really tell the story. |

I agree with everything Abe said. I very much like the image flipped as he suggested. For me the one problem was the fence marching into the picture from the right in a downward direction. With the image flipped, the fence leads one through the picture and up and out the right side. Much more peaceful for me.
