This brings back memories of the "Peace" roses my dad grew in New Orleans when it was a new variety and always won recognition when he exhibited them at flower shows. I always loved the pink and yellow of the petals and wondered how nature could make one petal have two such different colors. I think you captured it beautifully. I do agree with the suggested crop, though I wish the bud could still be included because it shows off the striking colors so well. |

This is a wonderfully creative view of the bridge. I like the way you evened out the tones on the trees and cleared away the distractions in the sky. I agree that, even though the change is almost unnoticeable, Eric's eagle eye for tilted lines makes the photo even better. |

I love the color tones - they seem very much Moroccan. I really like the original presentation with the window and flag because it gives a sense of the place. Otherwise the tree becomes the subject of the photo for me. I also find that the left-hand portion of the tree looks as if someone pruned it to emphasize the light and flag (actually it almost could have been cloned to give that impression), but in either case it seems less natural than the bushy part of the tree on the right, and is a bit distracting to me. |
