I think this is a marvelous capture of the crustiness and flakiness of the rust. I like the way that the sharp lines of the various pieces contrast with the texture of the paint, and the strong colors bring out the details. |

I really like your little duck. I was not sure I liked seeing the board he was standing on. It seemed to make it look like he was in a cage. So I took him into Photoshop and cloned the sand and background over the board, and used the clone tool at reduced opacity to soften the edges where the sand blended into the background. |

I've been to Bryce Canyon twice, 60 years apart, and it has lost none of its wonder. How all those delicate figures emerged in the same state as the rugged features of Zion and other Utah parks has always been a mystery to me. I guess, for me, the tree represents the impression of contrast I feel. In the same way I even prefer the more natural grey of the weathered wood, again it contrasts with the colors of the stone. |

I think your focus stacking makes the flower look like you are standing face to face with it. I especially like the color palette of the flower. I rather like the flower bud, it seems to give the sense that this is a real flower not a studio specimen. |

I particularly like the fact that your positioning of the the cluster places the main group, as well as the end of the curve on the thirds lines. I also like the way that the focus emphasizes the main cluster, leading to the impression that the curve is not only from right to left, but also that it curves slightly away from the plane of focus, keeping the image from looking flat. |

Actually I should have explained. The main image was captured from a different angle to be more of a close-up so I could show the texture of the flowers(popcorn). |
