Good addition, Abe. I think it definitely gives the sheep more room to breathe and is a much better aspect ratio. |

I agree. As soon as I read your comment, I saw how taking it in just to where the tree trunk meets the ground would greatly improve the focus on the main topic. Thanks for your comment. |

I think the subject sheep is wonderful, and I really like the way all the legs show that the sheep are moving. Your relatively fast shutter speed caught a couple of hooves off the ground, which really conveys they are not just standing there. I don't think the partial sheep in the lead adds much beyond showing that there are more sheep in front of the subject. I cropped to show just a bit of the lead sheep, reduced the highlight on the top of its back, and also cloned out the stripe on the road at the bottom. |

I personally like the horizontal crop. It also looks like Stuart increased the contrast and/or reduced the exposure, both of which I would also agree with. I like preserving the space for the bird to be flying into. |

To me it looks like this is one tree that goes up and then bends over to the left ending in the lower right of the photo. I think having part of the tree out of the frame makes it difficult to be sure whether it is one tree or two. But I really like the sharpness throughout and the contrasting textures of the tree and rocks. |

I like the monochrome version almost better as well. I think the bright yellow and contrasting blue of the background distract from my attention on the person. The only problem I see with the monochrome is that the brightness of the fingers makes them a distraction from the eyes, but I think that could be softened in post. |

I really like the angle of the frog in this picture. It's the angle most of us see frogs from, since we are seldom down at their level. I like the colors on the right-hand side of the photo, but I don't understand the sudden change to gray in the background on the left. |
