I do remember lots of interesting stairs in Santorini, which is probably why it reminded me of Greece. Thanks for your comment on my winter sunset - and yes, it was indeed in Door County - Door Bluff Park as I recall. |

Definitely like the cats. Thought it might be Greece, but I guess the Mediterranean styles traveled as much as you do. I like the contrast and shadows. |

I think that's why we love to photograph - to capture something we see that's so interesting we want to tell everyone about it. I think you did capture the fact that the blossoms were in a bit off a turmoil, and though they were not the major "point of interest" of the photo, I thought the petals on the water were a perfect complement to the scene. Knowing how early in the season it was, they added to the understanding that there was a wind scattering them around. |

This is such a fun image to work with!- I like them all! I think I would have cloned out the antenna and included the pointy top of the facade. But in some way, that might have been sort of ho-hum. I think your crop and some of the other interpretations give a much more dynamic use of the interesting shapes and textures. |

I wanted to focus even more on the dove, so I did a different crop. I also took out the strong stem right in front of the dove's beak, and enhanced the catch light in the eye. I was tempted to work with the color of the feathers, as the doves we see in Wisconsin are more grey with a slightly rosy patch below the "chin" - but I like the fresh color of your dove. I think you did a great job with the sharpness and with removing the intruding branch. |

I really liked the long sweep of the flowers in your original so I tried a different crop. I didn't succeed nearly as well with bringing out the pink in the blossoms as Marla, and will have to try her method. |

I like the way the vignette creates a sort of reverse halo around the flower. I also like that you faded out the background leaves so they are still part of the image. |

Probably wonderful if there had been a suitable foreground, but there was a road and a sign just where it would have been, so I chose this crop rather than trying to clone over those substantial intrusions. Good point though, as that would have helped keep the sun from being so near the vertical center of the photo. |
