I was so busy admiring the sharpness of the leather boot, and the great contrasting colors, that I almost missed the blazing star at the top of the spur. Always fun to find those. |

I have used plamps in the field, but I will keep this in mind for studio work. Great idea! |

After I read Ruth's comment I took another look at the photo. I definitely get the impression that the feather is floating in front of the background, although I suppose there might have to be a shadow if that were the case. Very interesting effect. |

A snowman in the chair really brings a smile to my face :)
I will have to try that (wish the grandkids were still young enough to enjoy the challenge). The recent snowfall has been cleared from the deck and chairs, but we are promised more snow soon. I'll keep you posted. |

I really like the colors in this one. And I like the way the Lightroom work enhanced the contrast and richness of the colors in both the feather and the background. |

I think you did a great job with the depth of field on this one, calling attention to the texture of the yarns and the stitches. |

I like the story aspect of this photo. For me it is enhanced by the colors all in the orange family set off by the punch of the blue cap. |

Amazing sunset, and I like the way you framed it with the two large trees, and placed the lone central tree in just the right place to lead my eye up to the spectacular clouds. |

I can see your point. There is a nice complementary color thing going on between the amber light and the blue evening sky. Thanks for the tip. |
