Wow! I had completely forgotten about Digital Photography School. When I first started learning all this stuff back 10-12 years ago, I would get up an extra hour early and spend the hour with DPS. It was a gold-mine of hands-on advice traded among people of every level of experience. I'm so glad to see it is still there. I looked at the photos in your topic article. Actually I think yours is one of the better ones. |

Another beautiful nature photo. I agree that your post-processing really brought out the best in the image, especially the contrast with the background. I'm glad you cloned out the grass that was overlapping the coyote's tail--a tiny detail, but a real difference for me. |

I absolutely love this image. I want to know more about how you did it, maybe you could send a link to the original article. I think there are several smaller images in this one that would stand on their own. I did crop a bit to remove the pale spots and line on the right edge so they don't draw my eye away from all the color. |

I really like the composition and the gray statue against the colorful flowers. I especially like the texture of the robe and cord around the waist, as well as the dog. I do think that the haloing of light around the statue's edges, especially the head area might simply be from over-sharpening since some of the flowers also have a haloed edge. |

I like the overall effect of the white flowers in the foreground and the impending storm in the background. I did find the pile of dirt a distraction as well as the pale tuft of grass on the lower left edge of the frame. I also wanted the truck to be more prominent in the frame, so I cropped up from the bottom and in from the right, then cloned out the distractions. For me, the old branches behind the truck don't seem out of place, so I left them in - could go either way on this. |
