Nice image. Good job of controlling the background. It really draws your attention to the rose that is in focus. |

I've been to Yosemite 3 times, but never saw this one. You picked the correct shutter speed. Just curious, did you taken any photos of this falls that includes more of its surroundings? |

Very interesting photo capturing how people live and in the case of the souvenir shop, earn a living. The texture of the building really stands out. The photo is rather small and difficult to see the finer details. |

Very cool image. I really appreciate impressionistic artwork. Monet had an exhibit in New York a few years ago. Incredible!
I really like this image, but agree with Giuseppe that the strokes may be a bit large. |

My first thought was the pelican has taken ownership of fisherman's punch drink. The bright red shirt really pulls your eye in. A fun photo. Thanks for sharing. |

Good questions. Not an expertise here. Other than the experience with some editing apps increasing the resolution (size), I am not aware of how to intentionally increase the image size with apps. Can anyone else help us out here? |

Interesting question. The iPhone Pro 11 can produce an image 4032 X 3024. I have noticed some editing apps actual will increase the image size. This original image is around 2MB. After all the editing the image size jumped to 6MB. Based on my experience, for a smartphone image to produce a quality large print, the focus and exposure must be perfect.
I don't try to sharpen an image. I have had very poor luck in trying this.

The great photo eye of Sol strikes again! Wide open scene with green vegetation framing the path where the hiker and dog are. The trees in the background provide depth and scale. Good job! |

Very sharp and good exposure on this photo. Composition works well here. Now, take a very good photo and add the "dramatic" story with it makes for a strong image. Good job and thanks for sharing the story. |

Great photo. I have seen so many sunset images where the sun is nothing but a big white area in the scene. I agree with the timing, perfect. The reflection works well. The shadows closer to the foreground add strong depth. Yes, a definitely wall hanger........if you have any place to hang it! |

The colorful bricks of the buildings work well in framing the scene. Excellent depth of field. I feel like I can work right into the scene. Good job! |

Good balance of bridge sign and actual bridge. The bright pathway leads you right into the scene and directly to the person in the background. As Jerry mentions it provides a scale, distance, and I will add human interest. Nicely done. |
