My first reaction is she has heard something behind her causing her turn around to look with a slight frightening facial express. |

Neat photo. Lots of patterns from the various fields. A white building and roads provide scale to the image. There were a few shadows while you were up that adds a bit of drama to the scene. |

I like black and white and there is enough change in contrast to accomplish a decent black and white. Including the person adds that human interest to the photo. There are several layers giving the photo a three dimensional look. Good job. |

Very sharp image of the bird. Good control of depth of field to make the bird stand out. As I read the description my first thought was the shutter speed was fast enough to lower the ISO. Then I read on and realized why you used ISO 1250. I imagine that birds are quite fast and don't wait for you to change the settings. Good job! |

Thanks for the comments. Image was from straight out of the camera. Lighting inside was very good. |

Using natural lighting for the original portrait worked out very well. For the conversion to black and white, well I guess it doesn't hurt to experiment. |

Your image documents the power of the Pacific Ocean. Including the dog adds additional interest to the photo. I know it can be challenging to know exactly how the image will look when it is posted on the PSA website. Given that, some of the brighter areas of the image appear to be a bit overexposed slightly. I included an image where I darkened the image and added some contrast. Pretty small issue. |

A very strong story telling image. This will be a family heirloom over time. Couple of minor issues, if it was possible give a bit more room to include all of the child's ear and fingers, and darken the bright area in the background. Given that, an excellent photo. |

The brilliant reds really make this image "POP". Running the water from the lower right hand corner, and the pier on the lower left side leads one into the scene. Good sharp image. Nicely done. |

Interesting subject with conflicting land uses, a road, remnants of a farm building, and golf course. As a bogey golfer my first reaction was visualizing hitting a stray golf ball into one of the openings in the silo.
The off center placement of the silo and location of the horizon makes for a unique scene. The surrounding hues nicely bring out the colors of the silo. This is a scene I probably would have walked by unnoticed. Good catch.

Good to see the super wide angle lens in action. It really makes the House of Worship stand out. The scene also appears to be sharp from front to back. Nice! |
