23 Mar 19 Reply Thanks for visiting Steve. Mar 11th
23 Mar 19 Comment Thanks for the comments. My initial reaction to this photo was to dump it. Mar 11th
23 Mar 19 Comment Strong exposure and composition. The shallow depth of field makes an interesting background with blues, orange, and greens. The focus appears to be a bit soft or is it just from posting a small image. A shutter speed of 1/60 is a bit slow for a lens set at a focal length of 230mm. It's good to see you are keeping an eye on the histogram. Tells me you where working on a strong image as opposed to just taking a quick snap shot. A huge advantage a digital camera has over the old film cameras. Mar 5th
23 Mar 19 Comment A very unique still life with the persimmons. The hues work nicely together and the Topaz filter really works well here. Mar 5th
23 Mar 19 Comment You managed to capture the egrets in a great pose. It's interesting how the green color by the birds beaks match the leaves on the brush. The egrets with their white plumage can be a challenge to capture. Your exposure is spot on. Nicely done. Mar 5th
23 Mar 19 Comment A very creative image. While staring at it, a teapot came to mind. You cleaned up the background pretty well. The sock's focus is a bit soft, perhaps that was intentional. Mar 5th
23 Mar 19 Comment Very interesting and unique image. You have captured enough of the stall components (without being distracting) to give the horse a sense of place. Nicely done. Mar 5th
23 Mar 19 Comment Certainly was able to capture motion. Good shallow depth of field that enhances the sharpness of the bird. Some white dust spots that can be easily cleaned up. Possibly a Steller's sea eagle? Mar 5th

27 Mar 19 Comment Strong composition and use of shallow depth of field. The first thing that I noticed was the lock. Interesting. I wouldn't want to put gas in my car from this pump either. When you noticed the pump, you saw an image, and captured it nicely. Mar 5th

34 Mar 19 Comment This Creative group is awesome. I'm awful at it. You have a good eye for composition. Nicely done.

Also, its interesting that I posted a "photographically incompetent" motion blur myself in DD23. Sometimes the accidental camera movement works out.

50 Mar 19 Comment Good composition and cropping. I captured some images there a few years ago, but never thought about converting to BW which works really well. Good photo Jeff! Mar 5th

51 Mar 19 Comment Thanks Dick. Very minor adjustment in Snapseed.Just took a ton of images. Mar 12th
51 Mar 19 Comment Capturing the old and the new works well here. The correct angle on the lights and the distortion of the modern building seem to work well together. An app I find quite useful in straightening architecture is SKRWT. When using this app it is important to give extra space around the subject due to a cropping effect. Mar 5th
51 Mar 19 Comment The clouds cooperated with you on this image. The BW really enhanced the quality of the image. The background is a bit busy, but the contrast helps the main tree standout. Agree with Bob on the challenging lighting. You seem to manage it quite well. Mar 5th
51 Mar 19 Comment Very inviting. Could be a scene out of a Harry Potter movie. You saw an image as your strolled and captured it. Good job. Mar 5th
51 Mar 19 Comment Excellent composition, placing the stream in the lower left hand corner, then the curving invites one into the scene. I find the blue shades along to the stream to be rather unusual.....or is it just me. Overall, another creative image Bob. Mar 5th
51 Mar 19 Comment I love images of old buildings. You were on the right track, but using Snapseed's HDR often doesn't work well. I made some relatively minor adjusts including, reducing brightness and color, and increasing contrast. Mar 5th
51 Mar 19 Comment Nicely done. The staircase makes for a strong composition. You were able to capture an image with people scattered around the image. I tough thing to do in the Chicago Art Institute. The Carbon negative filter is interesting and makes the people look ghostly. Mar 5th

86 Mar 19 Comment As a member of Phoneography 51, I had to visit Phoneography 86. You have captured a very relaxing, serene photo. Exposure, focus, composition all good. Nicely done.

Just a question. In group 51 we try to limit image editing to phone applications. Does the group use other software to edit as well, e.g. Photoshop? Just curious. Thanks!
