I have visited the St. Louis area a few times and have seen many photos with the arch. Given that, this is a very unique image. All the components in the image, the statue, fountain, tall buildings, courtyard, arch are all position nicely. Great perspective. |

Thanks for all the comments. It's amazing the things I don't notice unless someone points them out. |

Creative image. The model ship adds a unique scale to the scene. Good choice in using Painteresque. Agree with Jerry's comment on a lower angle. |

A very simple and creative photograph. This is the kind of scene that most people would just walk by. You have an excellent eye for seeing these sort of images. |

Having a camera with you allows for these photojournalism style images. The people in the center foreground are stacked up a bit. Not sure if changing your angle was possible since things happen quickly. You captured a lot of emotion in the swimmers. Nicely done. |

interesting image. The brown grasses remind me of the Serengeti. These images in a gallery would back for a very unique exhibit. |

Very sharp image. Crop really enhances the composition and makes for a very calming scene. |

Sol brought up an interesting point about showing camera gear we are using. This is a departure from the usual that we show but I hope you will find it acceptable. I'm wondering about what equipment you all use these days. So much has transpired in our Phoneography world that it's challenging to keep up. So this is the "rig" I carry when I think a tripod is necessary. It's an old and unused tripod, very lightweight but enough for the phone. I mostly want a tripod if I think I'll be using the Slow Shutter app or in very low light. It's convenient to use the self timer sometimes as well.
My response: I think it is important for people to provide information about the equipment used. Since Digital Dialogue is a visual study the main photo should be about composition, contrast, etc. You could add more about the equipment used, etc. in the write up. Great point Sol!

Just stopping by. I haven't had much luck with macro photography. What stands out in this image as well as the others is the sharpness in the images. Nicely done all! |

I really enjoy viewing monochrome images. This image has a strong contrast and the toadstools really stand out nicely. Good choice on the low perspective. Maybe remove some of the dark sky. Overall a super image. |
