Including a portion of your ship in the foreground adds depth to the image. Exposure and focus both strong. Yes, the clouds are very neat. I am not a cruise person so to speak, but I find the details of the German boat interesting. If possible, a higher angle may have separated the German boat from the buildings on the shoreline, less clutter. But that's just me thought. |

Very unique image. You were able to capture the emotion experienced by the girl, sort of a mix of excitement, enjoyment, and a little fear perhaps. The zorb balls serve as a neat filter of the background. Curious how a photo with the entire balls might change the impact it might have on the viewer. |

Very interested photo. It is the colors of the vase, flower and background that really work together making this a very pleasing photo. Very creative! |

Had to laugh when I first saw this. The bird appears to be proudly posing for the photo (juvenile?). Even with a tight crop, the image still hold the focus. The steely eye really jumps out at you. Good composition leaving room at the top and on the side the bird is facing. Dark background really makes the bird stand out. Nicely done. |

Lot of things going on in the image, but your composition is very pleasing. The sharpness is soft (assuming a long exposure), but in this case it makes for an interesting image. Rules are made to be broken! Nicely done. |

I enjoy stopping in on different groups. This photo is definitely a wall hanger. The composition is textbook. Leading lines, reflection, placement of a straight capitol. All make for a strong image. |

I enjoy stopping in on other groups. I was at Death Valley a couple months ago. Schedule, time of day, etc., didn't allow me to capture much in terms of images. OK, now that I told you all my excuses......
Your photo is awesome. As Stephen pointed out, the deep shadows make for a very dramatic image. Adding the person (with shadow) creates a strong human interest and scale. Nicely done. Definitely a wall hanger. |

Nice pattern and very sharp image (frost). There is a slight angle to the leaves that adds interest. You observed an opportunity and captured a neat image. Nicely done. |

Very creative Sol. Quite a change from beginning to end. The hues and texture in the final image makes for a mysterious image. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing your techniques. |

Strong images with your Galaxy. In the top image you strategically placed the birds between 2 areas where the waves crest, for lack of a better term. In the bottom image you created two triangles, water and sand. Really makes for a strong image. I can visualize the sandpipers racing ahead of the waves only to turn around and follow the waves back into the sea. Rather comical.
To my knowledge, this is the first time 2 images were submitted as a collage. Interesting perspective in viewing and comparing the 2 images. |

Another strong image, Bob. My experience has been with graduated filters there is a strong line where the hues change. In this image the hues blend nicely. The sidewalk is very inviting and makes one wonder what is around the bend.
Still haven't played around using the "Bob" method. By far, the most positive aspect of this site is learning techniques from other members. Thanks for sharing! |

Very neat transition of the image. The composition pulls the viewer into the opening in the trees and then directs eye to the sunset with reflection. Also, adding the trees to the foreground really adds depth to the photo. Haven't used the Painteresque app, but seems to work nicely here.
The apps converted some of the branches in the upper right to a blue color. Haven't seen this before. Curious what the bright green spot is along the far tree light. Is this some kind of tower or is it just an artifact? Removed it from the image I submitted. Overall, an image with a strong composition. |

Infrared was my first reaction. No Richard, you won't be booted from the group for corny puns.....I think. You have given the image a texture very close to an impressionistic appearance. Nicely done.

I enjoy visiting other group sites. Jason, a very strong image with warm hues. Highway leads directly into the scene. Definitely a head turner. I agree with a slight cropping at the top. |
