Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
17 Nov 18 Comment I randomly visit other groups, finding it a valuable learning experience. By chance I picked this site and was surprised to see an image of Valley of Fire. We were just there, but unfortunately we could only stay a short time in the middle of the day, zero clouds.

Exposure, sharpness, a color typical of the place, all good. Nice image.

23 Nov 18 Comment Missed this image, thanks for the reminder Brian. The pattern of the tree branches covered with moss makes for a neat image. All components in the scene compliments the image. Nice capture. Nov 30th
23 Nov 18 Reply Definitely see it now. Good catch Richard! Nov 23rd
23 Nov 18 Comment Wanted to use f/16 and ISO 100 which called for a slow shutter speed. Tripid was needed. Nov 13th
23 Nov 18 Comment I miss stuff all the time. Then the enlargement comes back with an awful artifact. Always good to have another pair of eyes on it. Nov 11th
23 Nov 18 Comment Patterns, deep shadows and a sharp image all good. Agree with Richard, most people would not see a photo opportunity. Good catch!

"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."

23 Nov 18 Comment Interesting ripples coming off the duck. The shallow depth of field really draws me towards the duck's head. The water droplets, shadow, and the splash of water takes an ordinary image and makes its rather interesting. Thanks for sharing. Nov 11th
23 Nov 18 Comment Certainly has a shape of a critter. The curving lines serve as a good way to invite the viewer into the scene. Nov 11th
23 Nov 18 Comment Great contrast as in life styles, between the modern buildings and the defiant small buildings in the foreground. Good choice in keeping a small strip of water. Adds to the story of the small buildings holding on. Between the modern buildings appears to be an artifact. I made a quick fix using PS. Nov 11th
23 Nov 18 Comment You were fortunate to find a place in the state capital without people. Exposure good, focus good, and a neat place that screams "TAKE MY PICTURE". Nicely done. Nov 11th

51 Nov 18 Comment Very strong composition. You have mastered the square image. Takes me back to the 2 1/4 cameras. The dirt road adds scale and invites one into the scene. Nicely done. Nov 1st
51 Nov 18 Comment First, not aware of an app that allows the stitching of images. The image definitely defies the "less is more" concept (even has a sign in the image that indicates that). I am definitely intrigued by all the signs. A fun image. I am ok with the red bench in the corner, it adds scale. Good find.

Note: The site was acting a bit strange when loading the images so disregard Lynne's beach photo in the original slot.

51 Nov 18 Comment Quite an image Sol. Your first attempt with a new iPhone and the Superimpose app is incredible. Without the description or viewing the first 2 images, I definitely put this in the abstract category. It is quite a study. Good job. Definitely want to see the comments from the rest of the group.

51 Nov 18 Comment Hi Lynne, good to have you back! The panoramic format works nicely here, good choice. The chopping waves, cloudy sky, and the absent of people definitely projects a chilly, fall season. The sand, dunes, water, and clouds gives the image a 3 dimensional look. I'm OK with the railing in the lower right hand corner. I suggest the size of the initials be reduced a bit. Nov 1st
51 Nov 18 Comment Wow, this makes Alcatraz look like a Holiday Inn. The image has strong leading lines that give an appearance the jail cells have no end. (Jerry, did I mix the images up?) Nov 1st

82 Nov 18 Comment Warm, perfect lighting. The reflection makes this a wall hanger for sure. Neat image. Nov 11th
82 Nov 18 Comment You have taken a simple subject and created an eye catching image. The fence, field, and cloudy sky all compliment the main subject, the barn. Nicely done. Nov 11th
