Looks more like a graphic design than photograph. Bright, vibrant colors. Most have been fun capturing images. I like the original with that mysterious looking fella.
Few years ago I bought some glow sticks and had the grandkids spell out various letters for our holiday card. It took several tries, but it worked out fine. Don't remember the word though.... |

Duplication of the chickens really enhances the image. Good use of shallow depth of field. Agree with Richard on losing the tail feathers. It appears to me that the smaller chicken has be picked on (lose of feathers) and has partnered with the larger chicken for protection. Judging 4-H (youth and adult open)contests I see a lot of chicken photos. This one is definitely unique.
Hope all is well for you down in Florida. |

Nice photojournalism image. The angle of the shoreline and the 2 kids makes for a more interesting image. My first reaction was the younger child was trying to mimic what the older boy was doing with the stick.
I don't hesitate to photograph adults in public settings, but am very cautious about photographing children. What's your take on this? |

Good composition and everything seems to meet the horse and buggy era. Contrast is good. Curving track compliments the scene. If it was possible adding a bit more room in front of the horse may have improved an already strong image. |

Your hard work paid off for the image. You took a very average scene and created a very neat image. |

Black and white seems to work better. Several same era items compliment one another. Simple image the works well. |

Black and White adds a lot of drama to the image. The entire hue of the image enhances the mystery aspect. The build leads me deep into the scenery. Nicely done. |

Now for my comments. This image really caught my eye when I first received it from Bob. The selective focus worked well. Colors, angled branch, creativity all good! |

What Is Encaustic?
Encaustic is a Greek word meaning "to heat or burn in" (enkaustikos). Heat is used throughout the process, from melting the beeswax and varnish to fusing the layers of wax. Encaustic consists of natural bees wax and dammar resin (crystallized tree sap). The medium can be used alone for its transparency or adhesive qualities or used pigmented. Pigments may be added to the medium, or purchased colored with traditional artist pigments. The medium is melted and applied with a brush or any tool the artist wishes to create from. Each layer is then reheated to fuse it to the previous layer. |

Very creative, strong focus, and great colors. I have hesitated to use attachment lenses. Maybe it's time purchase some. |
