Wow, I've never seen such a dramatic maternity image! You did a very good job of cutting her out and blending her into the stormy background. She is well placed under the bright spot of the sky. I really feel the energy! How did you get her garment to blow around like that in the studio? |

You managed to really bring out the colors in this and make something pleasing out of what would otherwise be a throw-away. It looks a little like brush strokes with a nice glow applied. Very striking! |

I like the texture of the rain and mud. It makes me feel raw and wet - not a comfortable feeling, but it's real and evocative. When I first looked at it, I wasn't sure of what it was until I read your title and description. I suggest that the rose needs it's stem attached to be more immediately recognizable. |

I think the effect works well, and I like the placement of the weaves so that the edges don't merge with the eyes, especially the eye that is closest to us. If you had intersected with the eye, it would have spoiled it for me. I'm ok with the tight crop, except for the bottom. I suggest that you make the bottom crop lower, maybe at about the level of her collar bone. Nice job overall, makes me want to try it myself. Thanks for sharing your technique. |
