Very nice. I see this as a good photo for a bird identification book. Focus and depth of field are good. My attention goes immediately to the bird but I get enough info to know that it is close to the water without the distracting texture of the waves. 'd like a little less shadow on the birds face. |

I like your explanation. It really helps me understand the mechanics of this shot. I find extension tubes to be challenging because depth of field becomes so shallow that angle of the focal plane to the subject has to be precise. You did an excellent job! How did you create the water drop? |

You are so fortunate to have this annual blossom event. The bird is difficult to recognize at first. A more bird or more prominent profile would help. The general composition if good. The top branch provides a nice border. The blue sky in the lower left creates a bit of negative space. Focus and depth of field are good. |

This is cool! I enjoy the leading lines that take my eye through the arch and make me want to go stand at the edge of the hill and look out over the town. The depth of field and focus are excellent. I like the splash of red color from the person on the ladder's jacket. The human element in this image provide a sense of activity. The texture and color balance / contrast from the white wall to the brown street to the yellow wall and arch up to the blue in the sky make this image interesting without being too busy. I think the space between the top of the mountains and the arch is a key compositional component that makes all the leading lines work. It guide me to an open space with lots to look at with out being crowded. |

This is fun! I enjoy the reflection. It makes the image special. A more shallow depth of field would allow the background to drop away and would draw less attention. |

This is an inviting image. It would be a great photo for an advertising publication. The composition and lighting are very good. I like the color contrast of the pool. The roof of the building in the bottom right corner creates a bit of negative space but it also provides a sense of place or perspective for the viewer. I know I am in the place standing on a balcony looking over this court yard. I also like the fact that there are know people. The lighting and color conveys a very serene feeling to me. |
