I like this perspective of foreground vs background elements.. This tells the story of the ornate detail as well as the massive structure of the wall. I think depth of field is good, allowing for awareness of relationship of the statures / gargoyles to the wall while keeping attention on the foreground. The upper left part of the image has a lot of negative space. I wonder if a lower angle would have allowed you to fill the left side with the statues and the right side with the wall. |

I enjoy images that draw the viewer in and create comfort but also create curiosity. I like symmetry as well so the fact that the yellow line is centered in the foreground as well as at the vanishing point creates balance for me while the S curve creates interest. This discussion is a good example of how viewer perspectives differ. The original says "let's" follow the path, the cropped image says "we're on our way". The focus if nice and sharp. Color is great, light and shadow are well balanced and the ring of light over the vanishing point adds to the intrigue or curiosity of what might be ahead. |

Very nice! The composition is good. The focus is nice and sharp on the butterfly and the flower. The depth of field is well done to eliminate distraction though the orange of the lilly in the background creates an interesting accent to the orange in the butterfly's wings. |

The composition is great. You're right, morning light provides richness accentuating the bright colors but the composition tells the story. I like that you included her hand to show that she is holding onto the llama.. The llama's earrings are a great accent. The one that stands out well against the dark background of the tree is most noticable. Depth of field is good. There's enough depth to convey environment without being too busy. The only distraction I experience is the tree trunk jutting out of the llama's head. I wonder if some cloning could eliminate the sharp change in that background element. |

This is a very unique flower - beautiful. The background is a little distracting. The harsh midday light and busy elements of the leaves and grass make it difficult to isolate the flower. I was given some advice is a flower workshop - when visiting botanical gardens bring several sheets a different colored construction paper to use as backgrounds for different colored flowers. This helps to eliminate uncontrollable background clutter. By composing the image with the flower placed closer to the top of the frame would allow the viewer to see the rest of the long fibers. |
