This is a great perspective shot... the colors and circle create really eye catching components in this image. I think the fact that you didn't include the right half of the circle is interesting. I am such a literalist and find comfort in symmetry that I wouldn't have thought about shooting only part of the circle. But that would have required higher elevation and a loss of detail. One occupied table is a nice touch of human character. |

Definitely a winner. The B&W create such great texture and draw all the attention to the dried flowers.... depth of field is good, focus is sharp... really nice Kieu-Hanh .. |

Beautiful girls Ruth... the expression and body language convey togetherness... The trees form a nice background and border to the right. The sky to the upper left allows the girls to stand out but also creates negative space and I'm not sure how that affects the image. Light clouds would be nice but a layered composite might look way over processed... |

This is a fun shot. I just helped my daughter get foot prints of my first grand child; so this is special. I like the fact you included the child looking toward the camera. I think a stronger depth of field would help here in order to see some expression on the child's face.
The white sky and tree leaves is a bit distracting. But this is a hard shot... |

I like this shot. I'd like to know more about how you did it. The lilly on its side and the reflection are really intriguing. The dragon fly adds a subtle dimension of character especially because it is facing the camera... I enjoy the dark shadows around the lilly pads. I had a hard time discerning what was in the bottom left corner of the image. It doesn't hold my interest. How would the image look it you cropped it from the bottom left corner up to just below the reflection of the lilly keeping the same format? |
