I like the story of this image. Your focus and setting are good. Composition is good. I think removing the small boat in the background just off the bow would eliminate distraction. The processing creates slight dark anomalies at the tops of the masts. The vignette is a little sharp / distinct. I like the border of the image. I wonder if more clarity or contrast in the clouds would add more drama. |

Kieu-Hanh - This is a beautiful location. Your image tells the story of the power of the falls both in natural beauty and human attraction. The colors are good. Composition and flow is good. My eye starts at the bottom left and moves across the image. I'm having a difficult time with alignment. I can't tell if the horizon is slightly crooked or if it is distortion from the wide angle lens looking downward at the falls. The sky could have been enhanced or cropped but Ruth is seeing what I sense as well. |

Hi Ruth - I gave you my critique when you sent me this shot. I really like it. The motion and precision are great. DOF is good, focus is sharp, colors and composition are good from a standpoint of balance. There is some leading line in that my eye flows across the page from bottom right to the point of the motion of the pen. It looks like a good application of golden spiral.... The only criticism I can make is the dark negative space in the upper left but I can't recommend a good solution.. If you change angle / perspective you may lose some of the other compositional attributes. |

I like this shot too. The colors and character are all intriguing. It makes me want to walk in the door and look inside. My only thought would be to include the human element - either catch someone walking by or window shopping. I think it would add to the story. |

This is a very serene image. The 13 sec exposure is a bit long for me. I'd like more texture in the water. Composition is great. My eye starts in the bottom left and moves up through the center of the image to the clump of moss at the top center. Color balance, symmetry, composition are all very good. |
