I love old gas stations. This is great. Where is it located? I'd like to see it myself.
Well done photo, nothing that I can add. |

I will definitely have to keep this in mind ... our camera club has an "Abstract" topic next year. I'd like to suggest that the image be flipped vertically. This would make the leading line, i.e. the birds tail, come in from the lower left. |

A rather busy photo, but my eye immediately goes to Mickey and is not distracted by the busyness. I'm not quite sure that I understand David's suggested crop. Cropping in from the right would remove some of the busyness, but does the "wall" act as leading line? Does it point to Mickey? Cropping would remove the bright distracting ride on the right side of the photo. But it does add to the environment. It seems like a tossup to me. Thanks for sharing! |

The minimalist approach definitely works! David suggested that the photo be cropped down from the top. This would create a panorama view that if you have the right location to display this photo would work very well. |

The low in the sky lighting gives a very nice back lighting effect on the tail and the tops of the wings. This does cause the underbelly to be dark. Excellent detail, sharpness in the wings. The eye is tack sharp. Well done. |

This is a nice photo of a winter scene - I like it. As Josh mentioned, a bit more to the right would be nice. It is pretty common to have grey blah skies in the winter. To avoid this I frequently will try to minimize the amount of sky in my photo. |

I agree. I did not take the care that I should have with the cloth background. Please see my response additional comment. |

My wife and I took a class this past weekend on table top photography. It was oriented specifically to photographing flower arrangements, but the concepts apply to any subject. The instructor had some backgrounds that I had not encountered before: replicasurfaces.com These would solve any issues with wrinkles or other imperfections that occur when using cloth like I did. |

I thought I'd include a photo of my light box/macro studio to give you a better idea of what I was talking about. My original thought was that it would be easy to disassemble and transport. I quickly found out that once a pipe is inserted into a joint that it was pretty much permanent even without glue, at least it was very difficult to take apart.
This is very much a work in progress as I make additions or modifications to it. The clamps from SmallRig are a recent addition. They are working out very well holding the small Litra LED lamps on flexible goosenecks. I still need to work on the backdrops and light diffusion panels. |
