49 Jan 25 Reply I know what you mean. I do have to admit that I may over process my images at times. I tend to like my images to "jump off the page".

Common advice seems to be that a B&W image should have a full range of contrast, but that is not always so. For example, a photo of fog should be rather flat lest you lose the feeling of the fog. I think this is the exception to the rule though.

49 Jan 25 Reply Good morning Josh! Yes, I feel that the blacks could be "blacker". This would really make this image "pop".

I enjoy photographing the interiors of buildings such as state capitols and churches. There are always interesting lines and angles to capture. You have done exactly that with this image.

49 Jan 25 Comment Very interesting view of a flower. There are sharp areas of the blossom on the left and on the right. Since you are trying to concentrate the viewers eye on the central part of the blossom, I find that these sharp areas are pulling my eye away from what you are really trying to concentrate on. The part of the blossom that is in the lower part of the photo is very blurry. I think that if this part of the blossom were also in focus that it would aid in drawing attention to the central part of the blossom. Jan 10th
49 Jan 25 Comment A challenge such as what you have set for yourself is not only fun, but it pushes you to look at things just a bit differently giving your photography a fresh new look. I like the composition. It does seem a bit flat, not a full range of tones. Although you did an HDR rendering of the scene, the lights are still pretty much blown out. I would like to see a bit more detail in them. Jan 10th
49 Jan 25 Comment I like this landscape. You did well in cropping out the distracting foreground. The foreground that remains is rather bright and kind of draws the viewers eye. I would darken this a bit.

Thanks for sharing.
