The window makes a very nice frame of the blue sky and sea. I am glad that this scene caught your attention and you shared it with us. Not much that I can suggest for any improvements. Well done! |

I love the color in the sky and as you pointed out how the mountain peak echoes the roof line of the barn. If I were to do anything, I would crop in from the left about half way to the barn. I don't think it is adding to the photo. Perhaps crop in from the right to remove house in the background. |

Great story! Great photo of John with a wonderful expression. You will treasure this forever!
What I find about this photo is that John does not standout. He gets lost in the background. I took your photo into Lightroom Classic and did some manipulations to make John standout from the background. I hope I did not go too far. I created a mask of the subject, cleaned it up by subtracting with the brush, then inverted it. Once I had a mask of the background, I then decreased the exposure about 3/4 stop, i.e. not too much. When done with this step I did a slight vignette in the effects panel. |

This is an awesome study in the geometric shapes and lines of city buildings. I really like it. Your photo caught my eye right away!
I am not put off by the white background as it does emphasize the geometry of the subject, but as David has suggested you may want to try a sky replacement. |

My club's topic for May was "weathered". I could have used a photo such as this!
I too find some of the background to be a distraction. David's comments are right on the mark. You may even want to crop in from the top a bit. |
