So if I understand you correctly, the statement on the website is not the final statement and we can expect updates/revisions to this.

"AI as a retouching tool is acceptable in Open competitions. An important distinction is whether the prompt window is used to add content." I don't see this in the "Statement on Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Image Creation and Ownership"

You did very well capturing the image that you had in mind. As being unfamiliar with the area, not having any detail in the water is not an issue with me. I'm not expecting to see any water. As to cropping the bottom or leaving it in, I like both versions of the photo.

Thankyou Craig for the very interesting response. I have not done anything with the AI tools other than to remove noise (Topaz and LR Denoise) when necessary. Our club right now is debating on the use of AI tools and when is it no longer a photograph. |
