49 Dec 23 Reply The background lights were definitely a problem. It was pretty hard to find a display in the foreground without also having lights in the background.

49 Dec 23 Comment The line up of the porches is definitely the hero (thanks Stephen for the term!) of the photo. The tight crop suggested by Craig works very well. Dec 13th
49 Dec 23 Comment I feel like there are two competing photos. The foreground rock with the awesome crack, and the colorful, bright mountain in the background. My eye bounces back and forth between the bright mountain and the darker rock with the crack. The crack certainly leads me into the photo but then it sort of just dies there. Perhaps it is that the foreground is in shadow while mountain is in sun light. My eye has to jump over the boundary between the two.

I do like the sharpness from foreground to background. Very well done!		 Dec 13th
49 Dec 23 Comment I find this double waterfall quite interesting. You did a very nice job capturing it. I think a bit more contrast between the highlight of the waterfalls and the surrounding greenery would make this photo just jump off the page at the viewer. It does seem a little tight at the top. 49 Dec 23 Comment I love the very bright colors in this photo. It immediately drew my attention in the group of photos this month. You did an awesome job with the lighting, but I'm not sure about the stump. Although the color is rather subdued compared to the flowers and vase, it does draw the eye away from the flowers for a bit. Perhaps cropping a bit from the bottom as Josh suggested. Dec 13th
49 Dec 23 Comment I love how the road leads me into the photo. Cropping a bit from the bottom sounds like a good idea, but I wouldn't go too far. The very bottom of the photo probably is not adding to the overall photo. Dec 13th
