I find Helicon Remote and Helicon Focus to be great products. HR to control the camera in taking the set of focus stacked images and HF to process the images into a single merged image.
If you would like to take discussion of focus stacking off line, feel free to contact me at alankiecker@charter.net
And a very Happy Thanksgiving to you! |

Lovely image! I have never tried to capture an image of the sun (or moon) in a manner that seems to make it larger than life as in this image. You have mastered the technique. I love it! |

I very much like this landscape. This is cloudy day, flat lighting. You may want to try increasing the contrast a tad. |

I am always intriqued by the detail that the camera can capture in a macro photo such as this. I find in macro work there are two ways to go. One is to have everything absolutely tack sharp. I achieve this using focus stacking techniques. But is this always the best way to go? Sometimes it may be better to not have everything tack sharp. For example, focus on the anther of a flower and let the rest of the flower blur into a beautiful collage of color. I have not mastered this technique :-( My suggestion on this photo would be to use focus stacking and have everything sharp. |

Definitely an other worldly look to the image. I kind of like what you did with it. As Craig mentioned, the ghosting around the trees is not doing you any favors, otherwise well done. |
