My next camera (Z7ii? Z9?) will definitely have focus stacking feature. I have used Helicon Remote to control the D810 with my tablet, but that morning it was still a little "drippy" out. I have done a little with adjusting focus manually, but letting software do it is whole lot nicer :-) |

Yes, it is a mess. North Central Council of Camera Clubs has loosened its Nature rules so that the council is no longer able to submit to the PSA Council Challenge Nature section. My own club has loosened its rules so we have to stress to members to be aware of the rules for the competition that you are entering. PSA is not allowing people to use the post processing tools that they are learning and clubs are encouraging them to use. Our club had a 12 week Photoshop class last year and this year 13 weeks on Lightroom. Every organization has different rules. It would be so nice if everyone could use the same rules and encourage people to make the best photos they can with the tools that they have. |

Thanks Josh. Yes, this would make a nice B&W. It is not a photo that I would intend for competition, but just a study in the natural world that we do not see with our unaided eyes. |

Dicky, you are making me to want a trip to Hong Kong! :-) There is so much that I like about this photo ... the angle of the bridge, how it frames the city lights under it, the color of the sky and how it compliments the yellow reflection in the water. I too agree that that it needs to be cropped just a bit from the left to remove the reflections along the left side.
Thanks for sharing! |

This a really great image; I like it a lot. I love how the subject, the trees, stand out from the rest of the photo. They grab my eye and it just wants to stay there. |

This definitely captures the essence of a kid doing kid stuff, making faces, having fun. The left side of his face (our left, his right) seems a bit hot to me.
A great photo of your son! |

I agree with Josh. It is hard to get the story without the description. It is a case of "what am I looking at"? |

Very nice photo!
Regarding the comments made by Josh Lohff. If you plan to enter this into the Nature section of a PSA sponsored competition, changes such as he suggested are not permitted. My club and council have been going through this. We would like to use the post-processing tools that are available to us, but the rules for Nature section do not allow much of anything other than cropping. |
