I'd give that a try, but be sure to keep some of the peeled paint boards. That really gives it the "old, abandoned" look. As you say, it would give more emphasis to the curtains. Try it out and share with us :-) |

I think the old lace curtains and the peeling paint say "abandoned" quite well. The image seems a little flat, but I'm not sure that I would increase the contrast. Have you considered this as B&W? Whenever I have an image where color does not play a central role in the image I think of it as a candidate for a conversion to B&W. |

I like this image a lot. The perfectly centered composition is perfect. Hard to suggest any changes. If anything perhaps a better sky. Have you ever tried HDR? This might work well to get a nicely exposed sky. |

Straighten the horizon. Crop in from the left and top so that the subject isn't so centered. Increase the contrast (I used curves). Increase the saturation of the sky. You might even want to try replacing the sky with one with some nice white fluffy clouds.
Nice capture.
Note: the pixalation in the sky is the result of having a low res image when I increased the blue saturation. It wouldn't happen with a full res image. |

I love the bright colors. They really caught my eye. I do wish you had a bit more at the bottom. The tires of the orange car merge with the edge of the photo. The large essentially featureless gray area at the top is a distraction, but I don't know what could be done. If you crop down from the top you lose the top of the building on the right which I think is rather interesting. The photo is a bit busy so maybe a tighter crop all together would help. I will be interested in seeing other folks have to say.
I do like the photo. You did a good job capturing and sharing with the viewer what it is that drew your attention in the first place. |
