The fall of Jesse began with a botched bank robbery in the small town of Northfield about 25 miles south of where I live. They celebrate "Jesse James Days" every year. Banning SP is about 100 miles north of where I live, so I doubt he has ever been there. At least he wasn't there the day that I was. :-)
One thing I really did not like about the original was the burned out area in the opening in the ice. It just drew my eye to it. Darkening this area helped a lot. |

Thanks Larry for the nice comment. It is warming, streams are flowing (overflowing?), the waterfalls are awesome! I just wish I could get out and photograph it :-)
Your suggestion is interesting. I will have to give it a thought and maybe try. |

Excellent composition! I agree with Jerry - clear blue skies may look great in a color photo, but they do turn a featureless grey in a monochrome photo. You could replace the sky with one with clouds, but this would disqualify it for most nature photos and you don't want to detract attention from the horse. I did add clouds and adjusted sliders a tad to bring up the shadows. |

Great action photo! Definitely would be a contender in a photojournalism category. |

The comments from Stuart Caine are spot on. I don't think you can do much about the water drops, but with the color corrections that Stuart did it is quite a nice photo. I must add … I do like the composition. |
