As you say, an intriguing image! I really can't offer any suggestions for improving it. Is it worth the trouble? Maybe not for entering in an international, but certainly worth including in a book of your trip! |

Wonderful image!! Perhaps the sky is a bit bright and kind of attracts the eye. You may want to decrease the exposure a half stop or so on the upper part of the image. Well done!! |

I had to look at this image a bit to really see what you had captured. The water is so smooth that it took me a bit to see the mangrove and its reflection in the water. This image is well exposed, well composed. Well done! |

I agree whole heartedly with Stephen. Available light photography can be very difficult! In this image the whites are pretty much blown out (no detail). I don't know what post processing software you are using, but in Lightroom you could try the following things: (1) move the highlights slider to the left (2) adjust the highlights part of the curve to reduce the exposure on the highlights (3) with the brush, select the faces and hands and reduce the exposure. I suspect that there really is no detail in the highlights that you can recover, so none of these will be totally satisfactory :-( I would also crop the top one third of the image as it does not add to story. |

This is a well done B&W conversion. You have good detail throughout the image and a complete tonal range from blacks to whites. The lights at the top are a bit hot, but so are they in the original. I would crop the elbow on the right out. It looks like the girls are having a fun time! |
