It was the distortions of a fisheye that I was going for. Having never used a fisheye before, it was fun to experiment and see what creative aspects it could add to a photo. Not something that I would want to do all the time, but it was a fun little project. |

Very nice image, well done.
As much as I like this image, I have two comments. First, the girl with the red hat is such a small minor part of the image, that I don't think I would even have noticed her except for the title. Second is the bridge cutting across the image kind of cuts the image in half. I find that my eye wants to concentrate on the mountain in the back ground, then sees the bridge. It is as if there are two images, the background mountain and the bridge. |

HDR has done an excellent job of controlling the contrast range. The colors are nice, the snow is not blown out, the house is nice and sharp. |

First, let me say "Congratulations on your honor"!
The image can be improved by straightening, increasing the contrast, vibrance and saturation.

Well done! I love how the mountains disappear into the blue haze the farther off they are. You have done nice with enhancing the sky. I find the dead tree in the foreground to be a distraction.
I have never been to the Smokey Mountains, but photos such as this make me add it to my must do list. |

I think the iPhone did well for you. A nice remembrance. And be sure to wish your daughter "Happy Birthday" from all of us in group 49! |
