Thanks, Judy. At the time I had made this image I had not seen the Palouse, except in other people's images, so that wasn't something I was thinking about. |

Thanks, Bob. I was standing pretty far away, at the top row of the remaining vineyard. You might imagine how small that tractor would look at f/150, or f/18. The surrounding area is far from picturesque. my memory of the building on the right was that I cropped in half because it was mostly hidden by vegetation. This was late September/early October and the remaining vineyard had been picked and was turning ugly. This image is f/18 and is to the left of the area where my submitted image was made. |

I like the composition and the crop.
I'm having enough trouble learning Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop!! I do like this as an idea to salvage an image that might otherwise wind up in the Recycle Bin. |

Nothing like beautiful red flowers to grab attention! Great composition and use of your black velvet cloth. To play on Judy's comment about post-processing, the filaments look like planes coming out of the blooms. |

I also like this image. I think the collapsed structure adds to the sense of desolation that the rest of image conveys. The image might be better with a bit more brightness in the background terrain and snow. I can't tell if that's a rock or a clump of dirt to the left of the remnants. Looks more dirt-like to me. I think Karen's crop is an improvement. |

So, after looking at all the commentary, I think it's a terrific business idea, but one that will have you climbing a lot - get in shape!!!
Beautiful image. Wondering if you have a lens that would allow you to make vertical images, at a closer range, which could also include the huts and coastline in the background?
The underwater shot is also an interesting concept.
Does a boat get the paraglider airborne and then unhook the tow line? |
