Very nice image. Looks like the "S" mode was a good choice as it appears pretty sharp, a nice accomplishment from a boat in choppy water. Wish the boat was more clearly visible. |

This is too cool! I occasionally go to Howell Living History Farm in Lambertville, NJ and attempt to get an image like this. Horses, bulls, cows, pigs, chickens, every animal there with the exception of the sheep will come up to fence when people are standing there. I've not been able to get anything near this cool! Great shot! |

I like the shot as Judy presented it to us. I like the composition and seeing the entire structure. Winter colors seem good and it's pretty sharp. I don't think the B&W works because there isn't enough contrast. |

I think I like Karen's cropping and adjustments to the image. I'm curious about the pink tones on the model's fingernails in both Karen and Bob's images? How did that happen? |

Not my side of PA, but looks like a spot where I might be happy to spend an afternoon with a good book, or maybe a good camera. The composition is very good. Too bad the fall colors weren't accommodating. |

Wow! Thinking of the many times I've seen this and never considered it for a image. Your image illustrates the dilemma of shooting webs - you need light to see them, but the light also obscures a lot. Going with Bill Provost's comments, there's so much in this image that if you hadn't titled it "Web on Cactus", I'd have had a hard time figuring out what the theme was. |

This image is really interesting to just sit and look at. Buttons! Buttons with thread still in them. Buttons with no visible holes for sewing them on a garment. Buttons with one hole - how does that work? Buttons of many colors. Great idea Bob. |

The idea of the black background, along with your excellent handling of the light, really make this image for me. Cannot think of a thing I'd change. |

I like your composition of the image. It's also really sharp, to the point that the reflection of the cat is also. Agree with Carol on removing the flare. |

I really like this image. The slow shutter speed gives me the feeling that I'm looking into a vortex where a small water spot is centrally located. The rather strong colors enhance this feeling. I agree with the comments about the top of the drop. |

Thanks everyone. The consensus of the group is that the image would be improved with a bit more of the flower in the lower portion and I think Carol's suggestion to crop the right side a bit was also a good one. Here's what resulted from those changes to the image. Do you think the adjustments are an improvement? |

Thanks Pamela. The lake only looks like this in late fall through winter, after the local water authority has drained a significant amount of water. That big triangle on the left is completely underwater the rest of the year. BTW, those are Canada Geese. |

Thanks Arne. I toyed with the idea of burning the sun a bit, but opted not to since it's still so high in sky and would be bright for a while longer. |

I really like the intricate, silky patterns of the smoke as it rises. This image, for me, is far better presented in B&W. I wonder about the source of the smoke - is it a candle that's had it's flame extinguished? A wisp of smoke from a log in a fireplace? I guess I'm looking for the story? |

I like the B&W better than the color. The blurring of the background gives the image an air of mystery and lends a bit of credence to your idea of this being a Quest. I think the image would improved if you had included the rest of the camel's rear leg and the rider was looking forward into the unknown. |

The droplets do, indeed, resemble lights on the tree. And your bokeh is very good. I'll have to join the chorus about not finding a focal point in the image. |

Very nice image. I kind of agree with Arne about the composition - a little more face would be desirable, but not at the expense of the beautiful, intricate wing. Wondering if you used a macro lens for this image since there is so much detail of the butterfly's wing? |

That's a beautiful image Arne. Love the composition. I'm really drawn to the architectural lines of the church. It reminds me of a jet fighter climbing completely vertical. The totally black background really brings out the elements of the image. |

Nothing like RED to pull your eyes into an image. I think this is a pretty classic travel image and the red pulls us into it. |

I like that Godiva and the horse are looking at the shopkeeper, who's looking at the woman outside the store, who's looking at her phone. And then we're looking at all of that because of your very nice capture of the scene and your choice to make the image monochrome, with the exception of the reds. |

Love the simplicity and serenity of this image. So many lines drawing our eyes to the painting. Really sharp and colorful. Nicely made Colin. |

Lines, lines and more lines. And then the rectangles start. And then the street lamps join in. Followed by the round handrails. And the yellow jumps out and gabs you. And the woman just puts the finishing touch on a great shot. I never get tired of looking at this. Great shot Rich! |
