Neat shot! Agree with Judy that it must be a nightmare figuring out where to shoot. Like the reflections around the doorway on the lower left.
This image got me to wondering if there was any of Gehry's work around Philly. Turns out that he's doing a MAJOR overhaul of the interior of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlCZ67ilbqY |

There's a ton of stuff waiting for your camera(s) from top to bottom on Florida's east coast. Enjoy! I like the image enough to have made it my wallpaper. |

Thanks Karen. Too much saturation for me - looks like Bob did it! ;-D |

Really nice silhouette shot. Very colorful background to the silhouetted couple, sharp. Don't know if it's possible, but I'd like to see the very top of the yellow structure - maybe by cropping some of the black bottom area? |

Hmmm... didn't you submit a similar shot, in color, sometime in the past couple of years? I like the composition, it's sharp, but I don't think fireworks really lend themselves to B&W. |

Nice composition (your crop worked!), good colors, sharp. I like the motion (can't tell you how many times I've been "gigged" for essentially the same thing. Lots of folks want stop action. |

Bob, you should offer this to Stephen King for a book cover! Just a ton of texture in this image. Like the composition and the B&W conversion. I've gone owl hunting (with a camera) and they are masters of camouflage. There's a screech owl that inhabits a tree in Green Cay Wetlands in Boynton Beach, FL. that always takes me 10-15 minutes to locate because it blends in so well. Great shot! Where's the rat? |

Taking a look at your group while I'm waiting for another Street Scenes group to be created (we have 4 people, waiting for a couple more). Like this shot. My favorite thing is the woman's hand on the cooler reaching for the broom!!

Had you not told us, I'd never have guessed car grill.
Good composition, very sharp, great pattern, the arced line of the light nicely breaks metal and glass. Very good choice for B&W presentation.

Bill, this is really tough for me because I can't find your focal point. I don't know where to look. The image is sharp and colorful, and I know you're featuring the the pink and green Smoke Tree because you told us, but I find my eyes roaming the entire image with no place to rest. |

Hi Nadia, welcome to group!
Never heard of a Wattle flower, so that naturally led me to Google it. The first thing I saw was "Australia National Flower". Interesting that every other country where the tree occurs sees it as a "weed".
I like the diagonal composition, the sharpness, the difference in colors between the two racemes and the fronds(?) sprouting on the upper raceme. I wish the lower raceme were in focus.
I think you have a nice result for your first (M)anual Mode shot. Stay after it, you'll probably like the control it gives you. |

Shapes, lines, textures, colors, clarity...you've managed to put all of them in this beautiful image of a simple leaf. I love this shot!! |

Thanks Denise! I was trying to focus on the mouth, and I really can't tell whether the mouth or the leaf wound up as the focal point. I'm too stubborn to give that up for the eye. |
